The faculty of Basic Sciences officially was founded with four departments of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics in 1977. However, due to the enhancement and expansion of each department, the faculty of Basic Sciences was divided into three independent faculties including the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry in 2014. With more than twenty study programs at different levels (i.e. Bachelor, Master, and PhD), and serious scholarly faculty members with world-class articles, the faculty of Physics and Chemistry, is among the best similar faculties nationwide.
