Meeting with Singapore Ambassador and Head of International Political Violence and Assassination Studies Institute was held at Alzahra University.

A group of managers and faculty members from International Studies College of Nathiang, University of Singapore met with the Chancellor of Alzahra University, Dr. Mahnaz Mollanazari, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology Affairs of university; Dr. Yadollah Ordoukhani, Director of International Academic Collaborations, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, International office's deputy, Dr. Hojjatollah Javani, International and Operational Deputy, Dr. Afsane Tavassoli and professors of Social Sciences and Economics Faculty; Dr. Seyyed Yaghoub Mousavi and Dr. Seyyede Latife Hosseini was holding a meeting on Sunday afternoon on October 15th, 2017 from 12:30  to 13:30 in Dr. Seif hall. Dr. Amirali Masoudi; University's Educational Planning Manager also participated as university's Vice-Chancellor of Educational Affairs representative.

International Studies College of Technical University of Naniang (Singapore) was established in 2007. Before that Strategic Studies Institute started working in 1996. Its goal was to perform leading and good research in Asia. Defense research, national security, international relations, and strategic and political studies in that institution are carried out. The faculty includes five research and defense research institutes i.e. the International Center for the Study of Political and Terrorist Violence, the National Security Center, the Center for Non-Traditional Security Studies, the Intercultural Studies Center.

Guest includes professor Ong Kung Yung; University Operation Deputy and Singapore Ambassador, Professor Rohan Ganaranta, master of security studies and Head of International Institute of Political Violence and Assassination, Dr. Kua Chung Guan, master member of faculty and Dr. Andrew Foo, master analyzer accompanying Dr. Javad Ansari, Iran ambassador in Singapore, Dr. Rouhisefat, deputy of international and political studies office and Dr. Darabi, responsible for Department of Eastern Studies in order to meet the officials of Alzahra University and discuss research on the site at Alzahra University.

Dr. Javad Ansari, Iran's non-resident ambassador in Singapore, explaining his activities from the last 5 years in order to improve the communication between 2 countries and to maintain the travel of various delegations at the highest level. By introducing guest and International Studies Institute in Singapore will help to improve these communications and a partnership between Alzahra University and Singapore's research institutes will establish that will help exchange of student and joint research activities will take place between the two universities.

Chancellor of Alzahra University referring to the policy of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in expanding the international relations among the universities of the country, she expressed keenness in order to start joint research programs providing research facilities to the women at the Women's Research Center in collaboration with the Women and Family Studies Group Singapore.

Professor Ong Kung Yung; International Studies Operational Deputy of Nathiang and Singapore non-resident ambassador in Tehran, the Institute's ongoing research on the increasing participation of women in terrorism and violence and their role in expanding radical thinking to the next generation and encouraging their wives to carry out terrorist operations. Professor Rohan Ganaranta, master of security studies and head of international institute of political violence and assassination, expressing the great influence of the propagation of global terrorism on women and their involvement in terrorist groups, they expressed some cases of Muslim-inspired beliefs in persuading and cooperating in suicide operations and playing different roles in supporting men and training children for operations. "…we see more women entering in suicide attacks every day. Most of suicide attacks in Asia involve women. Women are main heads persuading their husbands and children for these activities. The leaders of these terrorist groups use this feminine role of women by creating religious material and practicing religious beliefs that are not based on the Qur'an and hadiths." he added.

Researchers at the Institute for the Study of Terrorism Studies at Rehabilitation Centers are trying to correct the convictions of the arrested terrorists with the help of specialized advice and use of art, painting and music.

Dr. Rasouli; International and Operational Deputy of Social Sciences and Economics Faculty and a member of the Department of Family and Marine Studies, also stated that studies on violence against women have made them realize to collaborate on conducting research projects in this regard.

At the end of the meeting, the University's memorial shield has been presented to the guest and then they were guided to the traditional “Terme” Restaurant for lunch.
