Mona Pakdel PhD Student in Microbial Biotechnology Alzahra University Biotechnology Department is pursuing her doctoral thesis under the guidance of Dr. Zahra Mousavi Nejad, Associate Professor of Biotechnology, Alzahra University Biological Sciences, in order to spend an IROAST internship at the University of Bioelectronics Science Kumamoto, Japan, was dispatched to the city of Kumamoto, Japan from October 7 to November 13, 2019. She had previously succeeded in producing a type of protein nanoparticles from industrial waste. During her stay in Japan, the nanoparticle was also produced at the University of Kumamoto, and further experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of this protein nanoparticle on cancer cell culture and sequencing of the nanoparticle-forming protein by Mass Spectrometry technique. Research on the nanoparticle is currently underway at both Alzahra University and Kumamoto University.
