About

Alzahra University, previously named as Higher Educational Institute for Girls, was founded in 1964 and began its academic activities in two majors of English Translation, and Secretarial Studies. Three years later and upon the completion of its new building, the faculty of Foreign Languages was founded and today, with about 50 years of experience, we are proud to announce that the faculty of Literature, Languages, and History, is an academic-cultural center with vast interactions, beyond those of a university, and is among one of the bests in Iran with academic programs at all levels (i.e. bachelor, master and PhD).

Faculty of Literature, Language, and History has long endeavoured for educating cultured, pious women and girls who are committed to Islamic principles and are guardians, followers, and messengers of Persian language and literature as well as being experts in language sciences.
Since we consider human resources as our main source, we try out best to benefit from modern facilities to offer educational, research, technological and counselling services to academic societies, higher education applicants, and social and cultural organizations at national, regional, and international levels.
