Following a memorandum of understanding between Al-Zahra University and Ochanomizu University in Japan, Dr. Abe Naofumi, a professor at Ochanomizu University, met with Alzahra University officials on Monday, December 30, 2019. In addition to Dr. Abe, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, Director of International Academic Collaboration at Alzahra University, Dr. Ezzat Asgarani, Faculty of Biological Sciences and Graduated from Japan, Dr. Mohammad Reza Barani, Director of the Department of History, Faculty of Literature, and Dr. Tayyebeh Hosseinnejad of the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry in charge of cooperation with Japan.

At the meeting, the facilities of Alzahra and Ochanomizu University were reviewed, and suggestions for scientific collaboration including: exchange of professors and students, joint workshops and specialized courses, utilization of laboratory facilities of the two universities, holding joint degrees, creating interdisciplinary projects, joint dissertation consulting, Japanese language teaching at Alzahra University, and teaching Persian language to Japanese students at Alzahra University and other areas of international academic collaboration.

A lecture entitled "A Comparative Cultural Comparison of Iranian and Japanese Women in Modern Times" was scheduled to be held on Monday, January 6, 2019 from 10 am to 12 at the Faculty of Literature of Alzahra University.
