Dr. Zeinab Molasoltani, President of University of Alzahraa for Women, met with Dr. Mahnaz Mollanazari, President of Alzahra University, on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in Tehran to discuss the beginning of academic cooperation. At the invitation of Dr. Batool Meshkinfam, Director of the Women's Research Center of Alzahra University, and in coordination with the University's International Academic Collaborations, she traveled to Tehran to visit Alzahra University. Dr. Gholami, an expert on cooperation with the Arab world, was also present.

Dr. Mollanazari, President of Alzahra University, while welcoming the guests and expressing her pleasure at holding the first official international meeting, referring to 50 years of history of continuous higher education activity of Alzahra University, the university's willingness to upgrade University of Alzahraa for Women students’ education. The President of Alzahra University also mentioned the possibility of holding specialized meetings in a virtual form, as well as offering joint courses in the fields of Arabic language, literature, and mathematics, given the current international situation. He also announced that Alzahra University will award scholarships to the top graduates of University of Alzahraa for Women to continue their studies at Alzahra University. The President of Alzahra University stressed the need for Persian language learners to apply for scholarships and continue their studies at Alzahra University.

Dr. Zeinab Molasoltani, President of University of Alzahraa for Women, while thanking Alzahra University for the good reception and the opportunity to meet with the President of the University, emphasized the possibility of various cooperation between the two universities due to the existence of many cultural fields. The President of University of Alzahraa for Women expressed his interest in establishing relations and cooperation with Alzahra University in the fields of joint research, scientific meetings and joint workshops, utilizing the educational experiences of Alzahra University and sharing the course titles of the two universities. She also expressed her desire to sign a memorandum based on the proposals proposed by Alzahra University.

Dr. Meshkinfam, Director of Alzahra Women's Research Center, referring to the holding a series of webinars on women's studies this summer, announced the forthcoming webinar on "Women and Arbaeen Hosseini" with the cooperation of professors of University of Alzahraa for Women.

Dr. Hanachi, International Director of Alzahra University, with a brief history of cooperation between Alzahra University and Iraqi universities, pointed to the significant percentage of Iraqi students among Alzahra International students. Dr. Hanachi also announced the possibility of Iraqi professors using the equipment of Alzahra University Central Laboratory for academic research, and joint teaching of professors in Arabic, English and mathematics. It was decided to pursue cooperation through the international management of the university and the working group for cooperation with Arab countries.

At the end of the meeting, a memorial statue of Alzahra University was presented by the President of the University to the President of the University of Alzahraa for Women at Karbala. The Iraqi guest also presented a memorial gift to the President of Alzahra University.
