The Information Science and Epistemology Department, in collaboration with the Student Scientific Association, the Central Library, and the International Academic Collaboration Affairs Directorate of Alzahra University, organized a meeting titled "Introducing the Structure and Activities of Public Libraries in Canada." This event aimed to share experiences and featured a presentation by Mr. Saeed Forouzi on October 14, 2024, at the Central Library.
Mr. Saeed Forouzi, an Iranian resident of Canada and a librarian at Surrey Library in British Columbia, holds a master's degree in library and information science and has 25 years of experience in librarianship in Canada. During this two-hour meeting, Mr. Forouzi summarized his professional and social experiences, addressing several topics such as the role of libraries in raising public awareness, providing practical training and consulting services to local citizens and immigrants, encouraging individuals of all ages to read books, and promoting social and voluntary activities.
