Dr. Viktoria M. Kosteva, a consultant and official representative of the president of the Pushkin Institute, met at the headquarters of the Alzahra University officials with Dr. Mollanazari, Chancellor of the university, on 12th of December, 2017; after the opening of the Center for Training and Testing of the Russian Language Institute of Pushkin in Alzahra University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ghahremani Qajar, dean of the Faculty of Literature, Dr. Seif Barghi, the Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Graduate Education, Dr. Javani, the Deputy of International Academic Collaboration at the University, and Dr. Dastamooz, head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at the University.
The representative of the Institute expressed astonishment about the level of Russian language knowledge and the interest of Alzahra students, expressing their delight at the opening of the Russian Pushkin language center at Alzahra University and the warm reception of the officials and professors of the university. The meeting discussed how to send Russian language students from the Alzahra University to Russia to hold short-term language training courses at the Pushkin Institute as the first step in implementing the signed agreement between the two universities. The possibility of exchanging faculty members and Russian language teachers for knowledge and entrepreneurship was also discussed. The definition of the simulation of curricula was also a suggestion from the representative of the Pushkin Institute, which he said is currently being run with 11 universities in the world. The possibility of admission of a professor affiliated with the Pushkin Institute at Alzahra University with the aim of setting up a master's degree in the Russian Language department was one of the other issues raised at the meeting, which was discussed by the university's postgraduate and higher education. The meeting ended with the presenting the Pushkin Institute memorial to the authorities of Alzahra University.
