A delegation consisting of 36 educational and academic women from Syria had a meeting with a group of representative faculty members at Alzahra University on Saturday, 8th of November, 2017. This meeting was held in the presence of faculty members of Alzahra University at Hafez Hall including Dr. Navarchi, Head of Chancellor’s Office and Public Relations; Dr. Javani, Deputy of International Academic Collaboration Affairs; Dr. Meshkinfam, from Arabic Literature Department and Dr. Chaboki, from Women Research Center. Dr. Javani after warmly welcoming the guests had announced Alzahra University as the only state university for women in Iran.
He added: Alzahra University is trying to further extend the international cooperation in order to provide better opportunities to women for seeking best education. This university is fully equipped with furnished dormitory facilities fulfilling all the basic needs, swimming pool and sports ground for females, Central Library with best collection of books. After that an introductory documentary about Alzahra University was shown in Arabic language. Dr. Meshkinfam also talked about the establishment and history of university and also discussed the outstanding features of the university in order to continue education for girls in Iran.
Former Deputy Minister of Syrian Affairs and current Vice-President of the University of Damascus, Manager of International Affairs and Head of the Faculty of Literature of the University of Tritus, Head of the Faculty of Languages of the University of Hama, Head of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Aleppo, Manager of International Affairs of the University of Golomon, four members of the Syrian Assembly, all of these respective guests had stayed in the guesthouse. Officials from the guest universities also expressed their interest to work with Alzahra University and to implement the memoranda signed with Alzahra University. At the meeting, the proposed Memorandum of Understanding of Hama University was submitted to Alzahra University.
