Dr. Abdul Amir al-Qureshi, head of the Karbala Research Center, along with Dr. Riyaz al-Jumieri, member of appointed advisor to the Center and Zeyd Abdul Ali, head of International Relations Center in Tehran, visited Alzahra University on Monday February 5th, 2018 and met with Dr. Mahnaz Mollanazari.

In this meeting Dr. Shahla Bakhtiari, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Literature, Dr. Shahin Ghahraman Izadi, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Theology, Dr. Hojatollah Javani, Deputy to the director of International Academic Collaboration at the University, Dr. Batul Meshkinfam, Faculty Member of the Arabic Language and Literature Department, Dr. Ismael Hassanzadeh faculty member of History Department.

The Karbala Research Center is affiliated to the Imam Hussein (AS). The center has 13 members of the advisory board and more than 30 researchers in Ph.D. and Masters, which studies on the holy Imam Hussein (AS) and associated with Islamic science is supervised. The center has already signed a MoU with Alzahra University earlier this year.

After greeting by Dr. Javani, Alzahra University's introductory Movie has been shown in Arabic and became appreciated by guests. Then Dr. Javani introduced potentials of Alzahra University in cooperation with Karbala research center.

Dr. al-Qureshi welcomed the scientific collaboration with Alzahra University to introduce the Karbala Research Center. Referring to the ongoing research, he expressed hope that the Alzahra University will continue to collaborate on research. Referring to the fields at Alzahra University, Dr. Al-Qureshi called for the exchange of graduate and postgraduate students with Alzahra University. He also announced that the center has a scientific research journal called "Al-Asat" and welcomes the publication of articles by professors and researchers at Alzahra University. He added that the Karbala Research Center is developing the encyclopedia of Karbala, which is one hundred copies and has been published by twenty. Referring to the capacities in the history group, Dr. Hassanzadeh stated that he was ready to work in various fields such as enrollment of Karbala Encyclopedia, a joint guide for graduate theses and conducting research on various aspects of Arbaeen's pilgrimage.

Dr. Mahnaz Mollanazari, while welcoming the guests, referred to the MoU between Alzahra University and the Karbala Research Center, announced the readiness of the Alzahra University to accept the student and hold training courses for the researchers of the Center and asked the authorities of the Karbala Research Center to submit the specific requests by listing the number of applicants and fields requested for review and comment on Alzahra University. It is also possible to negotiate and sign a collaboration agreement between Alzahra University Women's Studies Center and Karbala Research Center on conducting research collaborations. It is also possible to co-operate with the professors of the Faculty of Literature and Theology with the Center for collaborating on enrollment in the Karbala encyclopedia by signing a partnership agreement with the named colleges.

 At the end, Alzahra University memorial gift was donated to the Karbala Research Center.
