On the occasion of the week of education at the Alzahra University, the Internationalization Panel for Education, sponsored by the University's Vice-Chancellery of Educational Affairs and Higher Education and International Academic Collaboration Affairs of the university, was held at the International University Conferences Center on Sunday, May 8th, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, Director of International Academic Collaboration at Alzahra University, reviewed the solutions and challenges ahead of the University's international activities report. She emphasized on the necessity of informing about the possibilities of the international cooperation of the university, useful explanations about the utilization of the professors from the non-Iranian base facilities, in order to support the recruitment of Iranian professors and elites living abroad and the elite recruitment program to support, then she recalled the attraction of foreign professors at the Alzahra university.
Dr. Arshad Ab Samad, head of the language training center talked about international students at the Putra University in Malaysia, referred to "Facing Internationalization Challenges at Universities" for the first time, for international, economic, social, political, and cultural reasons for the internationalization of universities. The recognition and improvement of the international community is the result of the internationalization of higher education. In the following he referred to the results of the poll conducted by the International Union of Universities, and said that financial issues were a major obstacle in this regard. He also paid attention to the quality of international courses and services provided to international students as one of the most important issues in accelerating the process of internationalization of higher education. In the following Dr. Abdul Samad spoke on the internationalization process at Putra University. He considered integration of curriculum as one of the most important elements for attracting international students and exchanging professors and students.
In the following, Dr. Ahmed Keshavarzi, director of the German Institute programs for International Collaboration of Germany in Iran, spoke about the academic relations of Iran and Germany with an educational and administrative approach to build sustainable international partnerships and he talked about challenges and opportunities. Then Dr. Mostafa Maleki, former Director of the Institute for International Collaboration of Germany in Iran, presented suggestions for furthering strategic scientific relations with Germany. He said that once we can claim that the internationalization of the university was proposed, the training could be internationalized. Providing infrastructure, revising curriculum units, holding specialized meetings to match the educational systems is one of the most important steps in this direction.
Dr. Golnar Mehran, secretary of the International Educational Panel, concluded with the design of two strategic questions that the opinion of the present professors was about the existence or absence of contradiction between the two categories of localization and internationalization of higher education, and the discussion with the participation of the participants about this topic held.
