A delegation of professors at the University of Damascus, invited by the University of Religions in our country, visited Al-Zahra University on Wednesday, may 27th, 2018, and met with a group of professors at Al-Zahra University at the Andishe Hall. The meeting was attended by Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, head of International Collaboration at the University, Dr. Hojatollah Javani, Assistant Director of International Scientific Collaboration at the University, Dr. Amir Ghayebi, Head of the Faculty of Education and Psychology, Dr. Khadijeh Karimi, Director of the Persian Language Center (AZFA), Dr. Fariba Ghatre educational deputy of the faculty of literature, Dr. Seyed Faraji, Dr. Amini, faculty member of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Barani and Dr. Taghavi, Faculty member of the History Group and Dr. Akbarzadeh, were actively involved in the Arabic literature group. The guest delegation includes Dr. Fouaz al-Abdullah, Associate Professor of Educational Sciences at Damascus University, Dr. Ebrahim al-Masri, Professor of Philosophy, Faculty of Education, Dr. Saeed al-Haji, Faculty of Literature and Professor of History and Antiquities of Damascus University, Dr. Bassam al-Barwan, Director of the Arabic Department, Dr. Hathim al-Abdallah, Professor of English Language Education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Dr. Eid al-Maqrabi, Professor of History and Antiquities, and Dr. Ahmad Al-Za'bi from the Electrical and Engineering Department of Damascus University.
The meeting was followed by the presentation of the guests of the University of Al-Zahra in Arabic, and the head of international affairs at Al-Zahra University emphasized the importance of promoting the international activities of the university, the opening of educational and research cooperation with the universities of the Islamic world and in particular the friend and brother country Syria. Then, the participants divided into different groups according to their specialty to the mutual dialogue in order to find the appropriate fields of scientific cooperation. The joint guidance and counseling of student theses, the exchange of professors in order to teach short-term courses and joint research projects have been one of the most important issues raised by the commissions.
