The 7th International Shia Seminar hosted by Alzahra University, in collaboration with the Qom Religious University, was held on Thursday and Saturday in September 2018 with a number of scholars from religions from Austria, Germany, India, Italy, Pakistan and Switzerland. And professors and administrators and international experts from the University of Religions and Alzahra University. During this period, theological, jurisprudential, mystical thoughts and changes in Shi'a social-political thought were raised by present professors and discussed.

At the opening ceremony of the ceremony, which was held on Thursday morning of the 23^rd of August in Alzahra University's Dr. Seif Hall, at first, presentation film of the Alzahra University was presented, and then Dr. Hojatollah Javani, the deputy of the international scientific co-operation department at Alzahra University, introduced the capacities and The university's abilities in international interactions and the various fields of cooperation with foreign universities were highlighted. Then Dr. Mehdi Salehi, head of international affairs at Qom University of Religions, introduced his university. The key lecturer at the meeting was Dr. Mohammad Taghi Ansari Pour, a faculty member at the University of Religions, who delivered lectures on Islamic developments during the Safavie period and after that in Iran.

The meeting was held on Saturday, August 25th, with the speech of Dr. Zahra Sharif, a faculty member at the Qom University of Religions. Dr. Hojjatollah Javani, a faculty member of the Department of Religions and Gnostics at Alzahra University, presented lectures on Shia mysticism. The Question & Answer session was held with the participation of researchers participating in the course. The international scholarship period was welcomed by many foreign participants. All lectures and discussions were presented in English.
