Alzahra University's officials Joint Meeting with the Deputy Director-General for Women and Family Affairs of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Regional Center for Science and Technology Transfer of the Union of the Overseas Countries of India, with the aim of launching the Women's Empowerment Coordination Center at Alzahra University, on Saturday, November 3^rd, with Presence of Dr. Leyla Falahati and Dr. Javaherian Representatives of the Vice-President of Women and Family of the Presidency, Fereshte Moradi, Expert of Regional Center for Science and Technology Transfer - RCR IORA, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, head of International Academic Collaboration of the University and a group of faculty members at Alzahra University in the building Department of Science was held. The meeting focused on the proposed launch of the IORA Women's Empowerment Coordination Center (IORA) at the University of Alzahra, in collaboration with the Regional Center for Science and Technology Transfer - RCSE IORA, at the IORA Union of the Indian Ocean Countries.

Dr. Falahati, while presenting a short presentation of the Indian-Ocean Rim Association (IORA) and Iran's membership in the Union, described the program for the empowerment of women in the Indian Ocean as one of the main pillars of sustainable development in the countries of the region and, given the role of Alzahra University as a women's special scholarly center, she considered the selection of this university as the program base in Iran. Head of the University of Alzahra University, Dr. Mollanazari, expressed her pleasure in choosing this university to carry out the mission, according to extensive studies carried out at the Women's Research Center and the Department of Women and Family Studies at Alzahra University, in preparation for the University to collaborate with the Regional Center for Science and Technology, In line with the country's general policies. At the end of the meeting, it was decided to set up the Women's Empowerment Coordination Center at Alzahra University, with the support of the Vice-Presidency of Women and the Presidential Family and the collaboration of the Regional Center for Science and Technology Transfer (IORA RCSE).
