Due to the call for a visit by the office of Academic Collaboration Expansion in Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), a panel of University of Kufa professors in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Social Sciences and Arab Literature visited Alzahra University in April 13th, 2015 with Hujjat al-Islam Abdul Rasul al-Ghifari, the Director of International Collaborations, as the panel chief.
In the first part of this visit, the guests visited the electronic and reference sections of Central Library and received complete explanation about the ways of access to scientific databases for biology and chemistry by the head of library; the subscription to these databases is purchased annually by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology for the consortium of state universities. More information on using Simorgh software to access available books and theses in Chemistry, Biology, and Arab Literature also was provided by the head of Reference Section. At the end of this part visitors received a copy of resources they needed.
In the second part, the delegation was given a tour around the faculty of Biology, Herbarium Museum, and Laboratories for Zoology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology. Dr. Maryam Keshavarz, the faculty Vice President for Research, accompanied the guests and provided them with necessary information about these places.
