Sheikh Qassim al-Hashimi, head of Ma’had Alzahra's Najaf Ashraf, met with Dr. Mahnaz Mollanazari, the head of Alzahra University and Dr. Mehdi Seif-e-Barghi, on Monday, December 18, 2018. Dr. Mahbube Mobasheri, Head of the Faculty of Literature, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, head of International Academic Collaboration at the University, Dr. Zohreh Khosravi, Head of the Women Research Center, Dr. Sohaila Jalali, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Theology, Dr. Batool Meshkinfam, Secretary of the Working Group on Cooperation with Arab Countries, Dr. Roghie Rostampour Maleki, head of the Arabic Language and Literature Department, and Dr. Leyla Samani, Secretary of the Cultural Women's Dialogue of Iran and the Arab World.
This meeting was attended by the proposal and coordination of Hojjatoleslam Ghulam Reza Abazari, cultural advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad.
Sheikh Qassim al-Hashimi expressed his happiness at attending Alzahra University and meeting with the university's president as the most important women's scientific center in Iran, a history of the establishment of the Alzahra masterpiece in Najaf with the aim of promoting the cultural level of women in Iraq.
Sheikh Qassim al-Hashimi expressed a great wish and willingness of Alzahra's alumni to continue their education at Alzahra University, suggesting joint courses with the dispatch of Alzahra University professors to Iraq, and launching Alzahra University campus in Najaf to continue education for Iraqi girl students at graduate level.
The meeting was concluded with a joint educational agreement be signed by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology after undergraduate studies and obtaining the necessary permissions. There is also the possibility of accepting the professors of Alzahra's MA and PhD degrees at Alzahra University.
The Secretariat of the Cultural Dialogue of Iran and the Arab world has also announced the readiness of its fellow professors to hold specialized meetings in Najaf Ashraf, and conduct joint research projects with Alzahra masters in the fields of jurisprudence, law, psychology and philosophy.
