The sixth annual congress of Caucasus University Association hosted by Kyrgyz Manas University on May 30th, 2016, sponsored by presidency of Turkish Republic Cooperation Organization. The main objective of the congress was to revive the ancient Silk Route in the Caucasus Region. The Association member University presidents from 15 countries including Iran, Turkey, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, etc. were among the ones invited. The University presidents of Tabriz, Ardabil, Shabestar, University of Applied Sciences and Alzahra University were attending from Iran. Only two universities of Tabriz and Alzahra delivered speech from Iran.
Dr. Hanachi, the Director of international Academic Collaborations Office of Alzahra University, on behalf of Dr. Khazali, the Chancellor of Alzahra University, delivered a speech about the possibility of reviving the Silk Route to broaden scientific and cultural activities. She ended her speech by giving some information about the potential and capabilities of Alzahra University. On the sidelines of the congress, Iranian Universities’ Chancellors met with Dr. Najafi, Iran’s ambassador in Kyrgyzstan and the minister of higher education of Turkey. During the meeting the issue of raising the level of academic and educational cooperation of Alzahra University with the universities of Turkey was evaluated. Also the proposal to hold a conference on the role of women in the scientific and cultural development of Alzahra University was successful.
