A delegation from French Higher Education visited Alzahra University on Tuesday May 31st, 2016. Professor Jacques Comby, the Head of the Delegation and the President of Jean Moulin University and the representative of the French University Presidents Conference; Professor Marc Renner the director of Institut National des Sciences Appliquées of Strasbourg; Professor Jeann-Luc Clémment counsellor for research to the director of international relations at ministry of Research; Dr. Yannik Le Roux the Cultural, Academic and Research Directorate of Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Thierry Valentin the deputy director general of Campus France Agency; and M. Yoann Le Bonhomme the Head of the Middle East Department of Campus France Agency were among the French delegation.
From Alzahra University Dr. Hanachi, the Director of International Academic Collaborations; Dr. Shiri, the Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology; Dr. Sedighe Shams, the Dean of Mathematical Sciences Faculty; Dr. Tahere Falsafi, faculty member of Biological Sciences Faculty; Dr. Afsane Tavasoli, deputy of Research of Social Sciences and Economics Faculty; Dr. Fariba Adli faculty member of Educational Sciences and Psychology; Dr. Motamei faculty member of Literature Faculty; Dr. Fard Dehkordi Head of Paintig Department of Art Faculty and Dr. Zarean faculty member of Women Research Center were present at the meeting.
Professor Jacques Comby, the Head of the Delegation, thanked Alzahra University for the warm welcome and mentioned that the quality of Research and education in Iran is in a very good position and pointed to the Strategic role of Alzahra University in Iran. He mentioned the aim of his travel to Iran is planning for the October delegation of French Universities. He also added: “In the MoU signed between the two countries three main objectives were talked about 1. Improving Infrastructures, 2. Information and Communication Technology, 3. Aerospace Sciences. Also three collaborations in Hygiene, Health and social programs of urbanizing as in environment, traffic and air pollution has been agreed upon by the ministries of both countries. Joint programs for alumni training, improving incubators, joint PhD programs (co-Tutor) and parallel exchanging students and professors are among the agreed upon programs.” The aim of this French delegation is getting some information about further Collaboration between the two countries for the French delegation who would visit Iran in October.
After the meeting, the delegation accompanied by Dr. Hanachi and Dr. Falsafi, visited the Industrial Laboratory of National Microbiology, and Banoo Gallery, and the studios of Art Faculty. This meeting was finished by Having tea in Termeh Restaurant.
