The High Education Department of the Iraq Ministry of Higher Education, invited by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Tehran visited Alzahra University on Saturday afternoon of February 2nd 2019. The guest delegation included Dr. Amjad Abdulnabi al-Suwad, Minister of Higher Education of Iraq, Dr. Fouad Abdul Amir Naji al-Saadi and Dr. Ammar Nabil Hamed, Head of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education, with Dr. Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, head of International Scientific Collaboration at the University, Dr. Mehdi Seif Barghi, Faculty of Physical Chemistry, Dr. Fakhri Sadat Hosseini, Faculty of Physical Chemistry, Dr. Hossein Hakimi-Pajooh, Research and Executive Vice-President, Faculty of Chemical Physics, Dr. Amir Hossein Fathollahi, Department of Physics Dr. Batool Sajjad and Dr. The doctor Morteza Ali faculty members of the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology Physics went to visit research labs. Dr. Batool Meshkinfam, secretary of the working group with the Arab countries of Alzahra University, also accompanied the guest at these visits.
In this program, chemistry laboratories, chromatographic analyzers and inorganic chemistry laboratories, as well as a spectroscopic laboratory and complex systems were visited at the Faculty of Chemical Physics. The guest delegation also visited Alzahra University from the laboratory of Dr. Shayesteh Sepehr, including the Genetics Laboratory, the Microorganisms Research Laboratory, the Microbiology Lab and the Biochemistry Separation and Purification Laboratory at the Faculty of Biology. The Carbon Technology Research Laboratories (CRTL), Surface Physics and Thin Film Labs, Magnetic and Superconducting Research Lab and the Physics Photonics Laboratory were also among the other specialties of the Faculty of Physical Chemistry that were visited and received by the Iraqi delegation.
At the end of the visit, the meeting was held at the traditional Terme restaurant. Dr. Shahla Bakhtiari, a university student deputy, also attended the meeting. Alzahra's deputy director for education and graduate studies, announced the readiness of the university for admission to Iraqi students, by referring to the 50 percent interest in Iraqi students and the cost of studying and staying undergraduate international students at around $ 250 a month. He also announced the granting of six-month-old study opportunities to Iraqi PhD faculty members and students without gender restrictions.
Dr. Amjad Abdulnabi al-Suwad, a consultant to the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education, expressed gratitude to the special and specialized facilities provided at the Alzahra University for the education of girls in Iran, declaring their willingness to use the study opportunities for Iraqi professors. At the end of the visit, the Alzahra University memorial statue is donated to the Iraqi guesthouse.
