A delegation of four academics of Sydney University visited Alzahra University on Thursday, September 29th, 2016.
The University of Sydney is one of the oldest universities of Australia in which 60 thousand students are enrolling in academic courses, 24 thousand of which are international students; is the third top university of Australia and 46th internationally. In this delegation Dr. john Shields, Deputy Dean (Education) of The University of Sydney Business School; Michelle Carlin, Executive Director of Global Student Recruitment & Mobility; Kaveh Ghezel is the Head of International Recruitment; Feras Sallan is the Regional Manager (Middle East) of student recruitment of The University of Sydney were visiting Alzahra University.
The host delegation was: Dr. Khademi, Vice-Chancellor of Cultural and Social Affairs; Dr. Kordbache, dean of Social Sciences and Economics Faculty; Dr. Rezaee, dean of Educational Sciences and Psychology Faculty; Dr. Karimi, the head of International Center for Teaching Persian (ICTP); Dr. Tavasoli, deputy of international and research affairs to the dean of Social Sciences and Economics Faculty; and Dr. Hanachi, director of international academic collaborations of Alzahra University.
Dr. Khazali, the Chancellor of Alzahra University mentioned some useful collaboration suggestions as in joint research in family and women studies in regional countries and collaboration in Bio and Nano Sciences; exchanging students and faculty members; all through signing a Mou between the two universities.
The guest delegation welcomed Dr. Khazali’s suggestions and explained that the university is in touch with the alumni through joint research projects and Video-Conferencing. The Alumni are as growing resources for Sydney University. They also suggested Alzahra University helping Sydney University in establishing Persian Language and Literature.
