A delegation from the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education met with officials of the University of Alzahra University in International Conference Center on July 24th, 2019 at the Tahereh Saffarzadeh Hall. Dr. Farhad Shahidzadeh, Director General of Coordination of Academic Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Alam Rahmati, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Scholarships of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Mohammad Amir Kamahwal, Director of Universities and Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education Ghiasi, head of the Department of Cultural Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ansari, Academic and Student Affairs Officer, and Ms. Taloghani, First Secretary of the Afghan Embassy in charge of the ceremonies of the Afghan Embassy. From Alzahra University Dr. Yadollah Ordokhani, Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology, Dr. Mehdi Seifbarghi Vice-Chancellor for Education and Higher Education, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi Director of International Academic Collaborations of the University, Dr. Afsaneh Tavassoli University Research Director, Dr. Marzieh Eskandari International Working Group Secretary for Asian countries, and Dr. Tayebeh Hosseininejad, a member of the International Cooperation Working Group with Asian countries, attended the meeting.
Dr. Parichehr Hanachi invited the guest to watch the introduction of Alzahra University. After the film was broadcast, Dr. Hanachi presented a report on the scientific collaboration between Alzahra University and partner universities in Afghanistan.
Then, Dr. Yadollah Ordokhani briefly introduced Alzahra University and its active colleges, announcing the readiness of Alzahra University to collaborate on study opportunities, joint scientific conferences, and publishing Persian books.
Dr. Mehdi Seifbarghi, while expressing hope for more cooperation with Alzahra University in collaboration with an Afghan colleague, cited a report on how to attract international students, and noted the growing number of international students among Alzahra's priorities.
Dr. Shahidzadeh, while referring to the mutual ties between the two countries, expressed his hope that the level of scientific cooperation between the two countries would be further expanded. Referring to the effective role of women in the scientific, cultural, economic and political spheres of Afghanistan, he referred to the Maral University in Afghanistan. It also announced that Afghan universities are ready to accommodate Alzahra University students in the areas of Pashto, Dari, and arts and culture.
While concluding the meeting, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi suggested that in addition to student exchange, cooperation in the field of teacher education would also take place. It also proposed the formation of a union of Iranian and Afghan universities and the preparation of a roadmap, and announced the readiness of Alzahra University to collaborate in the technology and research sectors. At the end, donations were made to the Alzahra University Memorial Gift and the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education. Guests also visit various parts of the Central Library.
