Alzahra University and Royan Research Institute are implementing a Memorandum of Understanding, Dr. Mahnaz Melanazari, President of Alzahra University, accompanied by Dr. Mehdi Seif Barghi, Vice President of Education and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Ali Rahmani, Vice President of Finance, Dr. Parichehr Hanachi, Director of International Academic Collaborations, Dr. Zahra Nazem Bakaii, Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Dr. Afsaneh Tavassoli, Director of University Research, Dr. Mohammad Reza Saudi, Faculty of Microbiology, and Dr. Omran Moradlou, Faculty of Chemistry, on July 15th 2019, Dr. Abdulhossein Shahverdi head of the Royan Research Institute, doctor Ruhollah Fathi Vice Minister met a group of professors and officials Royan Institute.
Royan Research Center is a reproductive center of cellular science and medical research at Jihad University which conducts fundamental and applied research and provides consulting and medical services in the fields of infertility, reproductive medicine, stem cells, fetal genetic problem detection, cord bank and gene therapy. It operates in six specialized departments.
A memorandum of cooperation between Alzahra University and Royan Research Institute was signed last year by the heads of two institutions. The purpose of this collaboration is to implement collaborative research projects based on community needs, to provide study opportunities to faculty on both sides, to hold joint national and international academic conferences and courses, and to conduct on-the-job training and re-training courses based on the needs of both institutes.
Alzahra University President Dr. Mollanazari emphasized the need to direct and strengthen collaborations and align the existing capacities of Alzahra University and Royan Research Institute with the collaboration of students and research professors from both institutes. She mentioned the opportunity to study for doctoral students at Alzahra University in Royan Research Institute.
Dr. Shahverdi, head of the Royan Research Institute, also confirmed Dr. Mollanazari's remarks: "Holding joint meetings and summer schools will provide valuable experiences for leading faculty members of the two institutes, which will be very effective in advancing research." He said: giving young people a field will lead them to do great and valuable things.
